This policy explains what data we collect when you use Call The Score, why we use it, and what rights you have as a user.

1. Data controller
The personal data controller is the administrator of the Call The Score platform, a natural person, reachable at contact@callthescore.live ("we", "the Controller").

2. What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and password (stored encrypted) at registration; profile data provided by Google authentication, if you choose that option.
- Game data: your predictions, score, participation history, and competition-related preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and usage events, via cookies and analytics tools.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or other contact channels.
3. Purpose of processing
Legal bases include contract performance (Terms and Conditions), legitimate interest (security, aggregated analysis), and, where applicable, consent (e.g. non-essential cookies, if enabled separately).
- creating and managing your account;
- operating the prediction platform and leaderboards;
- service security and abuse prevention;
- improving the experience and analysing traffic;
- complying with legal obligations.
4. How long we keep data
We keep data while you have an active account and for a reasonable period after account closure, for dispute resolution, legal obligations, or technical backups. Aggregated analytics data may be kept longer without direct identification.
5. Who we share data with
We may use providers that help us operate the service (e.g. hosting, authentication, web analytics), strictly as necessary and with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate legal mechanisms exist (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and usage statistics (including services such as Vercel Analytics). You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality.

8. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data (password encryption, restricted access, secure infrastructure). However, no online system is 100% secure.
9. Minors
The service is not intended for persons under 16. If we learn that we collected data from a minor without parental or guardian consent, we will delete it where possible.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is published on this page with the last update date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
